LMI Network Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to the LMI Network!

The LMI Network is a New Brunswick platform created to allow searching and sharing Labour Market Information (LMI) with peers from New Brunswick (NB). This platform is dedicated to connecting individuals and organizations to facilitate a better understanding of the NB labour market.

Members of the LMI Network will have access to and be able to view all content on the LMI Network including the library, forum and calendar. The Network features a library that allows members to submit content, a discussion forum where members can create new topics or comment on topics started by other members and a community calendar where members can share LMI related events. Further details related to these pages are outlined below.

Who can register?

The LMI Network invites researchers, students, government employees, and other organizations to become members. Each application will be reviewed by the LMI Network team and will be approved based on its relevance to labour market information. The LMI Network team reserves the right to refuse membership at its discretion.

The LMI Network Platform

The LMI Network is intended not only to allow/facilitate searching and sharing content related to LMI, but also to connect its users. Thus, information submitted by its members will be populated into a contact card which will be accessible to other members of the Network. For this reason, the LMI Network team encourages to only provide information in your application that you wish to share publicly. This contact card will be connected to any content posted on any of the three primary pages the site:

  1. Library
    Submissions
Any files posted on the site will be found in the library. Members will be able to submit posts to the LMI team for approval. When submitting a post, the member will be prompted to input a title, a description, tags, and a file (all common file types are compatible). Each field will be offered in both official languages to allow members to post in the official language of their choice. Once the post is submitted, it will be reviewed by the LMI Network team to ensure all content is published to the Library falls within the parameters of LMI. Posts can be deleted by both the original poster and the LMI Network team. The LMI Network team reserves the right to delete any post at its discretion.

Search
The library’s default display will show all posts ordered by “last updated.” If a member is looking for content on a specific subject there is a keyword search at the top right of the page. The search will return all posts with a title, description, or tag that contain the keyword(s). All content displayed will be viewable regardless of your language preference, but the LMI Network will prioritize search results based on language preference. For example, where a member’s preferred language is French and a post was only provided in English, the search result would still produce access to the English post. Alternatively, if the post was submitted in both French and English, the French content would appear first in the search result based on the member’s language preference.

Conduct
All submissions to the LMI Network will be screened by the LMI Network team. In the event that a post is flagged as spam, malicious, personal or falls outside the parameters of LMI, the LMI Network team reserves the right to take down a post after it has been published. Please follow these guidelines for posting:

  1. Forum

New Topics

Members of the LMI Network will be able to start their own topics either directly on the forum page or by clicking the discussion button on any Library post. When initiating a new forum topic, members will be asked to provide a title for the topic and a description which will be searchable. Topics will not be preapproved by the LMI Network team before they are posted, but the LMI team reserves the right to remove any forum topic that does not fall within the conduct guidelines for posting. While the interface will be available in both official languages, the forum itself will allow members to post in the official language of their choosing.  Posts can be deleted by both the original poster and the LMI Network team. The LMI Network team reserves the right to delete any post at its discretion.

Members are encouraged to participate in any forum topic discussion through comments. Although comments will not need pre-approval by the LMI Network team before being posted, the LMI team reserves the right to remove any comment that does not fall within the parameters of the conduct guidelines for posting. While the interface will be in both official languages, the forum itself will allow members to post in the official language of their choice.
